OUR LEADERSHIP & STAFF

Chris Hildebrand, Lead Pastor

Chris Hildebrand is the lead pastor of Resurrection Park Slope. Previously, Chris served as executive pastor and director of church planting residency program. Prior to joining Resurrection Brooklyn in 2005, Chris received his M.Div. from Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL and participated in the church planting fellows program at Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Chris and his wife Jeannie have four children, Owen, Evie, Jacob, and Wells. He is native to New Jersey, and an avid (often injured) runner. He loves football and baseball, but refuses to pledge his allegiance to any particular professional team much to the chagrin of his colleagues.

Gerald Menke, Music Director

Gerald’s first contact with the church was in 2007 when he subbed for then-music director/guitarist Steve Elliot. He began playing pedal steel in the church regularly shortly thereafter, became a member, and in fall 2012, was named music director. A native of Cincinnati, Ohio, he lives in Carroll Gardens with his wife Genevieve and their two children Ilse and Paul. He is delighted to program and perform the music for worship every week and counts his involvement in the church among the greatest of his many, many blessings.

Possibly the only NYC church MD who also has a CDL, Gerald has played pedal steel on hundreds of indie albums, performed on national and international tours, composed music for major ad campaigns, composed music for radio dramas and played pedal steel on dozens of indie movie soundtracks.  He is bilingual English-German, a musical omnivore and loves spending time exploring NYC with his wife and children, and reading biographies. Favorite expression: Don’t worry about the mule going blind. Favorite truck: Kenworth W900L.

Steven Gil, Youth Director

Steven is a native from Brooklyn, NY. He moved to Orange County, CA in 1996 and attended Calvary Chapel Bible College and their School of Ministry from which he graduated.  He is currently a student of Biblical and Theological studies at Nyack College and has aspirations for attending Seminary. He enjoys reading fiction, theology, apologetics, fellowshipping, and exploring the local hot spots in Brooklyn, NY. Steven is also a loyal New York Mets fan.

Rebecca Trevethan, Administrator

Born and raised in Michigan, Rebecca graduated from Michigan State University in 1996, a year after marrying her husband, Nate.  After a few years in Massachusetts, they landed in Brooklyn in 2002. They have enjoyed living in and exploring various Brooklyn neighborhoods for the past 15 years. Rebecca is excited about her new role as Administrator for Resurrection Park Slope.

Amy Pruitt, Family & Children's Ministry Director

Amy Pruitt is the Family & Children's Ministry Director of Resurrection Park Slope. She has attended the Park Slope church since it began in 2004. Amy and her husband, Brian, met in Spanish class in undergrad at The University of Memphis where she later graduated with a degree in Biology. Together they have four children and a golden retriever. Amy is passionate about reminding kids they are the beloved children of God.

Bridget Roddy, Director of Congregational Life

Bridget Roddy is the Director of Congregational Life at Resurrection Park Slope.  She grew up on a farm in South Dakota, fell in love with theater and moved to NYC in 1997 with three suitcases and some travelers checks. Bridget and her husband, Kevin, began attending Resurrection Park Slope in 2007 and they have been grateful for the community of believers with whom to worship and raise their two boys. Bridget was a co-leader of Resurrection Park Slope's Moms' Group for many years and she enjoys being active in the life of the church as well as in her community of Carroll Gardens and the local schools.
